Maryland means the green light for the adoption of Black Boys
Appalled by the rapid growth in the number of children in Foster Care, Maryland officials plan to begin an aggressive campaign to promote the adoption today, young black boys make up more than half of the country’s children awaiting placement in new houses.
Posters, radio and television ads and a renewal of Push-to-get to encourage religious leaders, members of their communities to adopt African American boys. The promotion congress believes that financial incentives for states to steer children with special needs into permanent apartments.
African American boys are so difficult to place, it is part of the “special needs”, a category which also includes older children, several siblings and children with physical and emotional problems. Officials said that black boys, in particular, need solid houses, so that they claim has already these numbers are dead or imprisoned.
